- Through Cecil TV, we bring you information that is fair, honest, non-partisan, and accessible to the average citizen.
- Civic Engagement: Cecil Public Media will foster, encourage and promote civic engagement with a program that brings people of disparate social and political thinking together to work through the issues that divide them and to better participate as citizens in a democracy. This could take the form of discussion groups or a lecture series. We are researching what has worked in other communities.
- Public Participation: Cecil Public Media equips regular citizens with the basic skills to report, tell their stories and become part of the production process.
- Community Hub: Our website, cecil.tv, serves as an information center for events, announcements, and vital notifications.
About Your Donation
The Institute for Nonprofit News is Cecil Public Media’s fiscal sponsor. This relationship enables us to receive tax deductible donations until Cecil Public Media is approved by the IRS as a 501C3 charitable organization. INN is a network of more than 350 independent news organizations that are nonprofit, nonpartisan and dedicated to public service. Your donation, minus a small service fee, goes entirely to Cecil Public Media.
Donor Transparency
Our organization will make public all donors who give a total of $5,000 or more per year. We will accept anonymous donations for general support only if it is clear that sufficient safeguards have been put into place that the expenditure of that donation is made independently by our organization and in compliance with INN’s Membership Standards. As of 10/15.2021, Cecil Public Media has received no donations larger than $5,000.
