Cecil TV Newswatch: Matt Hubbard, Doug Donley Discuss 6/21 School Board Meeting
In the expectation of a large crowd and with 42 people signed up to comment, CCPS’ 6/21 school board meeting was held at Rising Sun High School. Nearly all of the public comments pertained to a Facebook post made by School Board member Rene Dixon and the subsequent press release by CCPS that disavowed the sentiments of the post as interpreted by CCPS leadership. Also in this meeting was a discussion among the school board members about an offer, with strings, of $750,000 by the County Executive to the school system which was declined. This discussion in included in this video along with our analysis of the meeting.
